Khalisah Abdul Karim
Artist Biography
Born in Singapore
Lives & works in Singapore
Khalisah is a Singaporean painter, currently studying in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Her works explores on the relationship between herself and her audience, experimenting the limits of self-confidence.
She was known for her realistic drawings and paintings but to be able to allow audience to participate on her painting and change the whole outcome was a big step for her.

Over the years in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, she is mostly comfortable in completing a realistic painting on her own. Being able collaborate with her audience changes her way of interpreting the outlook on people's thoughts and feelings in general. Inspired by her interest in human body, Khalisah aims to connect and inform her audience.

Artist Statement
Having the interest in painting, I approach the discovery of self as a subject matter. Combining different methods of painting, I aim to show the beauty of them on a single canvas.
